Associate Professor Lisa Lampe
Lisa Lampe is an academic psychiatrist and Deputy Head of the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Newcastle. Her interest in CBT was ignited as a first year trainee after witnessing the highly effective results of a behavioural program designed by a more senior trainee (DB you know who you are!). Her interest in CBT for anxiety developed out of the opportunity to work at the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD) in a combined research and clinical role as a senior registrar. After two years full-time at CRUfAD, Lisa worked for a decade or so in a mix of private practice and CRUfAD consulting, and fractional academic appointments at UNSW. Along the way she developed an interest in personality and its assessment, eventually combining these interests in a PhD focussed on Avoidant Personality Disorder...
